HOUSE OF PRAYER

JESUS SAID, " MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER." When you enter the sanctuary before worship, please enter quietly, as others are preparing for worship. Before and after the service there are opportunities for carrying on conversations in the fellowship hall. Please refrain, however, from conversations in the sanctuary. As the family of Christ, we cherish our opportunities to share times of fellowship with one another. BUT THE SANCTUARY IS GOD'S HOUSE OF PRAYER.

Pastor Malec

Pastor continues to be away on vacation through July 26. If you have an emergency or arein need of pastoral care, please call Pastor Baker at 570-992-0679. We pray that God will grant Pastor Malec a safe travel and a relaxing and refreshing time away.

LSB Hymnals

Would you like to donate a copy of the new LSB hymnal in honor of a birthday or an anniversary or in memory of a loved one? We will need 50 copies of the hymnal to begin worship at our new mission and the price per hymnal is scheduled to increase soon. If you would like to donate one or more hymnals ($20.00 each), please enclose payment (check payable to Concordia) and designation in an envelope and mail to the office or place in the offering plate.

Help (STILL) Wanted!

If you have a pair of able hand or a weed-wacker...We need YOU! As you stroll around the church grounds, you'll notice that the weeds are making more and more of a statement, just daring us to pull 'em! Those with able hands can stop by anytime and yank those weeds right out. Stay as little or as much as you want. Every bit helps! If you have a weed-wacker, please call the office to find out what needs to be wacked!

Help Build the Kingdom!

Your investment in our mission project will help us fuel our work in Northern Lehigh Valley. Concordia is issuing $5000.00 Promissory Notes for 5 years at 5% simple interest. These notes, offered quarterly, will return to you $6259.00 at 5 years! Please prayfully consider this investment opportunity in the building of His Kingdom! If you are interested or have any questions, please speak with Pastor Malec or Lynn Campbell.

The Great Dinosaur Hunt!

Concordia-Bethlehem will be hosting a special creation presentation brought to us by 21 youths and 6 adults from Missouri and Minnesota. This program is for young and old and we encourage you not to miss this opportunity to get answers to some of those nagging creation questions: "Did God really make everything in 6 days...including dinosaurs?" "Was there room in the ark for dinosaurs?" Please plan to join us on Today, 11:00-3:00pm.

Thank you! Our appreciation to the following families who graciously offered to host these youth and chaperones last night.

Stewardship Corner

As chosen and called stewards of God, we most prepare our minds to think as stewards. The task of a steward is simply to be a responsible manager of the owner's property until the owner takes it back. As stewards, we are accountable to God. "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to Whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4:13) God has placed His trust in us and enables us to be faithful (1Corinthians 4:2).

IF GOD HAS YOUR HEART, HE ALSO HAS YOUR WALLET

"I am not commanding you [to give], but I want to test the sincerity of your love by camparing it with the earnestness of others" (2 Corinthians 8:8)

"Life Quotes" from Lutherans for Life"

"Many see the pregant teen as 'promiscuous' or as an abortion client. We see a child who needs to be cherished and supported with advise and direction."
